It turns out that the Japanese make coffee jelly! Most often, chilled jelly is poured with cold milk or decorated with whipped cream or creamy mousse.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. First you need to brew very strong coffee, almost espresso. I added some sugar to balance the taste.
  2. 2. Pour the gelatin with cold water and let it swell (the swelling time and the proportions of the connection with water depending on the gelatin, I usually leave it to swell for 15-20 minutes).
  3. 3. If required by the instructions, heat the gelatin over a fire until completely dissolved and mix with hot coffee until smooth. If necessary, strain the coffee with gelatin through a sieve. Pour coffee into serving glasses and send to harden in the refrigerator for about 1-1.5 hours. The taller your glass and the more coffee jelly it contains, the longer it will take to set.
  4. 4. Remove the frozen jelly from the refrigerator and use a spoon to break it into large pieces. Then fill with chilled milk and serve immediately.
