Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. To prepare compote, we take frozen berries: plums, black grapes, red currants, black currants, cherries, chokeberries, and oranges (it gives the compote a pleasant bitterness and a fresh citrus aroma).
  2. 2. Boil water (2 l) in a small saucepan and add berries there. Berries do not need to be thawed to make a drink, as a lot of juice will stand out and, accordingly, vitamins will go away. Bring to a boil and leave the mixture to brew (20 minutes).
  3. 3. As soon as the berries sink to the bottom of the pan, you can proceed to the next step in preparing the compote.
  4. 4. We filter the berries through cheesecloth.
  5. 5. In the resulting infusion, add water (2.5 l) and sugar. Bring to a boil and let cool.
