  1. Cut ripe large tomatoes crosswise, put in boiling water for half a minute, remove the skin with a sharp knife. Remove the cores, cut the flesh into pieces. Chop the onions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan, fry the onion, it should become transparent. Add chopped chili and chopped garlic and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Add tomatoes, heat all together for five minutes, stir.
  3. Mix the tomato puree with the vegetable broth or water and pour into a roast. Add curry, salt, bring soup to a boil, cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Add whole cilantro and chili. Remove Indian tomato soup from heat, serve hot, remove chili pods.
