The hot time has come - the long-awaited summer! We quench our thirst with water, fruit drinks, and lemonade. I suggest making homemade lemonade with tender peach and tart basil!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. Wash the peaches well, remove the pits and cut into cubes.
  2. 2. Put peaches, sugar, lemon zest, and basil leaves in a saucepan.
  3. 3. Fill with clean drinking water and put it on fire. After boiling, reduce and cook until the peaches soften, it took me 7 minutes.
  4. 4. Mash the peaches with a potato crusher and boil for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5. Strain the syrup through a large sieve.
  6. 6. Add juice from 1 lemon. Optionally, you can take 2 lemons. Mix and chill.
  7. 7. Pour the syrup into a jug or jar and you can store it in the refrigerator for a couple of days and treat yourself to lemonade if you wish. And we will try right away! Pour 2-3 tablespoons of syrup into glasses, top with cold sparkling water, and garnish with basil leaves.
