The combination "tea with quince" is as popular in Latvia as "tea with lemon" all over the world. Quince (Cydonia oblonga) grows here in everyone's gardens in the form of bushes, next to currants and gooseberries.

  1. 1. Scald the teapot with boiling water, and drain.
  2. 2. Pour a couple of tablespoons of tea leaves.
  3. 3. Fill with boiling water.
  4. 4. We use water passed through a BRITA filter.
  5. 5. We insist on a couple of minutes.
  6. 6. A little about the fruits of quince: they are juicy, with a high content of vitamin C (49-74 mg / 100 g of fruit), B1, B2, carotenoids, fruit acids, minerals, and pectin (1.5-5%). Carotene, thiamine, nicotinic acid, pyridoxine, and other vitamins were found in the fruit pulp.
  7. 8. We prepare the quince in advance: rinse, and cut it into slices. Take out the seeds.
  8. 9. Sprinkle with sugar, and let the juice run. Keep in jars in the refrigerator.
  9. 10. Now my tea. Put a couple of tsp in a mug. quince with syrup.
  10. 11. Fill with tea.
