  1. Preparing oranges. To do this, first pour sugar into a saucepan with water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Cut oranges into slices 2-3 mm thick, dip in syrup and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes. The peel will become soft, but the orange circles will retain their shape.
  3. Remove oranges from syrup and set aside.
  4. Turn on the oven and heat up to 180 degrees.
  5. Add sugar and salt to softened butter. Whisk until fluffy.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each with a mixer.
  7. Add the zest, removed from a whole orange with a fine grater, and the juice squeezed from half an orange. Add vanilla. We beat.
  8. Mix flour with baking powder and add to liquid ingredients. Mix the dough until smooth.
  9. In a form (diameter 20 cm), covered with parchment paper, spread the oranges, going to the walls of the form.
  10. Pour the batter over the oranges.
  11. We bake a pie with oranges in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  12. Let the cake cool down after baking.
  13. Cover the cooled cake with a plate and turn over. Remove form and paper.
  14. Orange pie is ready!
