Pumpkin is very rich in nutrients, and porridge from it is much lower in calorie content than the rest. Today I propose to cook diet pumpkin and millet porridge. Very tasty!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Cut off the skin of the pumpkin and remove the pulp.
  2. Rinse the millet well and cover with boiling water to remove the bitterness. Let it sit for a few minutes, then drain and rinse again. Transfer the washed millet to a saucepan in which you will cook the porridge.
  3. Add milk and water in equal proportions. Stir, bring to a boil and cook porridge until tender over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the pumpkin into small pieces and bake in the microwave at maximum power for 5 minutes. Stir and bake for another 5 minutes, or until pumpkin is tender. Cooking time depends on the power of the microwave and the type of pumpkin.
  5. Purée the pumpkin with a hand blender.
  6. Add pumpkin puree and honey to the finished porridge to taste. Honey, if desired, can be eliminated or replaced with a sweetener.
  7. Stir. Diet porridge with pumpkin is ready.
  8. Enjoy your meal!
