A simple recipe for a delicious and elegant pie with curd-carrot balls, which may well replace the cake on the festive table, or turn an ordinary tea party into a holiday. Carrots can be replaced with pumpkin.

  1. Let's work on cottage cheese, sugar and yolk with a potato masher.
  2. Add grated raw carrots on a fine grater and mix.
  3. Next, we form balls, after wetting our hands with water. We remove the balls in the freezer.
  4. We make dough. Cream butter with sugar and vanilla sugar.
  5. Then add the eggs one at a time, beating each time.
  6. Add yogurt or sour cream, stir. Sift flour together with baking powder.
  7. We spread the balls in a form covered with parchment (I have a form with a diameter of 21 cm), fill them with dough and level them.
  8. We send the cake with cottage cheese and carrot balls to a preheated 180 degrees for 40 minutes. The baking time depends on your oven.
  9. Remove the cake from the mold and let it cool on a wire rack.
  10. For the glaze, mix sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. We send the mixture to the microwave.
  11. While the chocolate icing is hot, cover the top of the pie. We are waiting for the glaze to harden.
  12. Decorate the cake to taste.
