Love spectacular homemade cakes? Then be sure to cook this simple two-color cake with mineral sparkling water. Baking is airy, moderately sweet and very beautiful not only on the cut, but also on top.

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Use unscented vegetable oil.
  3. Combine eggs and sugar in a deep bowl.
  4. Beat with a mixer until fluffy light mass.
  5. Pour in vegetable oil and sparkling water.
  6. Pour in salt and vanilla. Mix with a mixer until smooth.
  7. Sift 400 g of flour there (3 cups with a capacity of 200 ml). Add baking powder. Stir with a spoon. Then, at low speed of the mixer, bring to a homogeneous consistency without lumps.
  8. Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
  9. Pour half of the dough (about 600 g) into another bowl. Pour cocoa into one part of the dough, the remaining flour (about a tablespoon) into the other. Mix both types of dough until smooth.
  10. For baking, I used a silicone mold with a diameter of 22 cm. It is better to grease a mold from a different material with vegetable oil.
  11. Spread two tablespoons of dough in the center of the mold, alternating white dough with dark.
  12. Shake the filled form to level the surface.
  13. With the tip of a toothpick, draw rays (any number) along the top of the pie, alternating directions from the center and towards the center.
  14. Send the form to the oven preheated to 150 degrees and bake the cake for 40-60 minutes (the time depends on the characteristics of the oven). Check readiness with a match or a toothpick - after piercing the pie to the middle, it should come out dry.
  15. In a conventional gas oven, the cake was baked for 60 minutes.
  16. After baking, leave the cake for 15-20 minutes in the form.
  17. Then remove the cake to a wire rack and cool completely.
  18. Pie "Zebra" on mineral sparkling water is ready. Before serving, you can pour it with melted chocolate or cut into cakes to build a cake.
