Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes and boil until tender. Do not salt the water! Cool slightly. Drain the broth into a separate container, it will still be useful to us.
  2. Chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil.
  3. Puree the potatoes, add the fried onions along with the oil in which they were fried. Mix.
  4. Pour 1 cup of warm potato broth, add yeast and a pinch of sugar to it. Mix well and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add 3 cups of sifted flour to potatoes.
  6. Add the remaining sugar, salt and broth with yeast.
  7. Knead the dough. Add more flour if necessary.
  8. Grease a deep bowl with vegetable oil and place the dough in it. Cover with a towel and leave for 2 hours.
  9. During this time, after about an hour, the dough must be kneaded.
  10. After 2 hours, knead the dough again and divide into two parts.
  11. Roll out each part into a rectangular layer about 1.5 cm thick.
  12. Then roll each layer into a roll and cut into 10 circles.
  13. Place the buns on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and brush them with beaten egg or milk.
  14. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.
  15. You can serve these buns instead of bread with any dish.
  16. Bon appetit!
