Semolina Meatballs With Berry Jelly Sauce

And in order to diversify the taste of semolina meatballs, I prepare a special sweet berry jelly sauce for them, which makes a real dessert out of ordinary semolina meatballs, it will appeal even to people who do not like semolina porridge, especially children.

Time for preparing: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

milk 400 ml

semolina 100 g

sugar 1 tbsp.

vanillin 1 tsp

butter 50 g

chicken eggs 1 pc.

flour (3 tablespoons in the dough) 5 tbsp

vegetable oil (for frying) 2 tbsp.

berries 200 g

sugar 60 g

water (dilute 20 ml with starch) 70 ml

starch 8 g

PREPARATION:

Boil semolina porridge, add butter to it and leave to cool slightly.

Pour berries, sugar and 50 ml of water into a saucepan. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the starch diluted in the remaining water in a thin stream. Cook for a couple more minutes before removing from heat.

Add the egg and 3 tablespoons to the warm porridge. flour, knead everything well.

With wet hands, form balls from the semolina mixture, roll in the remaining flour and slightly flatten them so that they turn out to be in the shape of a meatball.

Fry the meatballs in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown.

Before serving, let the semolina meatballs with jelly sauce brew for 10-15 minutes.
