INGREDIENTS:
apples (large) 2 pcs.
celery stalk 2 pcs.
walnuts (peeled) 80 g
lemon juice 2 tbsp.
mayonnaise 150 g
salt taste
ground black pepper taste
oranges (for decoration) 1 pc.
lettuce (for serving) 10 pcs.
PREPARATION:
Cut the apples into thin slices or strips. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice so that the pulp does not darken. Set aside a few slices for garnish. Remove the top skin from celery, cut the flesh into thin strips.
Set aside a few kernels for decoration, finely chop the rest of the nuts. Combine apples, celery and nuts in one bowl, mix.
In a separate container, prepare the sauce from the mayonnaise, the remaining lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Beat with a whisk and season the salad. Stir, put in the refrigerator.
Serve the Waldorf chilled on lettuce leaves, garnished with orange slices, shelled apple slices and walnut kernels.
